Window Puzzle
This is my first-ever Game Jam!
This project was built for Pirate Software Game Jam 17
My interpretation of the theme "Only One" was to make a game that does only one thing, print "Hello world!" 😅 ... Just kidding, though honestly, that's about where things are right now.
I almost didn't participating in this jam at all! Unfortunately, I got scheduled to work a *ton* of extra shifts at my day job during the two weeks this jam was being held, so I was an observer for most of the first week, periodically checking the Discord chat between helping clients at work.
The game is still little more than a "Hello world!" app, but I've learned a lot and I'm glad I made the effort to participate. I'm a C++ dev and didn't know anything about Itch.io, Web Assembly, Enscripten, or what level of support any of those things had for the SDL library. I've also never written a Game Design Doc before.
Most of my very limited time has gone into reading documentation, fixing novice mistakes, and writing tiny learning experiments. I won't have a playable prototype by the deadline, but I *am" excited to see where this project can go!
